AMPHIBIANS

Vertebrates - an animal with a spinal column or a back bone.

Chordates have nerve cords, notocords, and throats with gill slits at some point in their lives.

Definition of an amphibian

Amphibians are cold-blooded vertebrates. They normally are both land and water animals, as they spend part of their lives in each.

Examples of amphibians

Frogs are an example of an amphibian. They have large eyes with slit-pupils on either side of their head and small sticky finger pads.

This is an example of a poisonous frog.

Salamanders are another kind of amphibian. Salamanders have moist bodies, which makes them reliant on wet or damp habitats, like creeks or under the ground.

Amphibians- Cold-blooded, scaly and soft skinned animals. Mostly found in or around a body of water.

Amphibians are very unique because they metamorphose from small animals that live in the water to larger animals that live outside of water (but still around it). After amphibians metamorphose into their mature adult state they sexually reproduce to make another baby, aquatic, animal.
